| It is now law that
where any major refurbishment is to take place, an asbestos
survey is required. We find this in regulation 4 of the
control of asbestos at work regulation, details of which
we detail below. |

| With regards to health
and safety all asbestos now has to be removed or made
safe. Most buildings built before the early eighties
will have some sort of asbestos somewhere within the
building, usually to do with insulation or typically
part of the heating system, ie pipe and floe work. |
